Start with your right foot forward (shoulders leaning forward with weight on right foot)
Take an average step with your left foot
Make a big jump (as if you were jumping over a big puddle of water). Land on your right heel then quickly plant your left foot just in front of your right foot. (As you start your jump over the puddle, your arms swing backward as far as they can go.)
When you land on your right and left feet, squat low and quickly push off your legs straight up.
As you start your push from your legs, your arms swing quickly and vigorously upward to finish straight above your head
As you get ready to hit the ball, keep your left arm high. Bring your right arm backward as if you were getting ready to shoot and arrow with a bow.
To hit the ball, rotate your elbow forward and high above your head.
Snap your forearm forward from the elbow reaching high for the ball.
Contact the ball with the palm of your hand on the upper portion of the ball
Snap your wrist quickly.
Finish your hit by bringing your arm all the way down to your thigh on your hitting side
